How to Reassign or Resend an Application

If a credit application is stuck at the Request to Complete Information stage — or if the wrong person was assigned — you can reassign the questionnaire to a new contact and resend it without losing any existing workflow data. This guide walks you through each step.

⚠ Before you begin: The application must be at the Request to Complete Information stage in the Workflow Overview. The Reassign button is only available at this stage. If the application is at a different stage, the button will not appear.

Open the Workflow Overview

Log in to Trade Shield at app.fabricworkflows.com. From the top navigation bar, click Fabric Workflows to open the Workflow Overview.

ⓘ Tip: You can also navigate to Workflow Overview via the To Do menu if you have been assigned to a pending application.

Find the Application

In the Workflow Overview, use the Search workflows bar on the left panel to search for the applicant company name. Click the applicant's name in the list to open their workflow record on the right.

Confirm: Workflow Stage is Request to Complete Information

Before reassigning, confirm that the Current Stage shown in the Workflow Details panel reads Request to Complete Information. This is the only stage at which the Reassign button is available.

⚠ Note: If the Current Stage shows anything other than Request to Complete Information, the Reassign button will not be visible. Contact your Trade Shield administrator if the application appears stuck at a different stage.

Click the Reassign Button

In the action bar at the top of the applicant record, click the Reassign button (shown with a circular arrow icon). This will open the Reassign Questionnaire modal.

ⓘ Tip: The Reassign button is highlighted above. If you cannot see it, verify that the workflow stage is Request to Complete Information (Step 3).

Complete and Submit the Reassign Questionnaire Form

A modal dialog will appear — Reassign questionnaire. This is an irreversible action. Fill in the new contact's details and click Reassign Questionnaire to resend the application link.

⚠ Note: Clicking Reassign Questionnaire is permanent and cannot be undone. The original contact will lose access and the new contact will immediately receive the application link by email.

Application successfully reassigned

The questionnaire has been resent to the new contact. The workflow will continue at the Request to Complete Information stage, now assigned to the updated contact details.

? Troubleshooting

Reassign button not visibleThe application is not at the Request to Complete Information stage. Check the Current Stage in the Workflow Details panel. Only this stage exposes the Reassign button.
Applicant didn't receive the emailAsk the applicant to check their spam or junk folder. If still not received, verify the email address entered was correct — if not, you will need to reassign again with the correct address.
Reassigned in errorThis action cannot be undone from within the platform. Contact support@tradeshield.ai immediately for assistance.
