Enhanced Filtering in Workflow Overview

More visibility. Better control. Easier workflow management.

? 3 min read    Released November 2026

We've introduced enhanced filtering capabilities to the Workflow Overview section in Trade Shield, making it easier to find, monitor and manage applications as they move through your workflow process.

Previously, users could search for workflows using the company name and filter applications using existing labels. With this update, you can now filter by workflow type and individual workflow steps, giving you greater visibility into exactly where applications are in your approval process.

1

Navigate to Workflow Overview

From the main Trade Shield navigation menu, select Workflow Overview under Fabric Workflows.

Here, you will find your existing workflow dashboard, where you can search for and view applications currently moving through your workflow processes.

2

Search for a Workflow

At the top of the middle panel, you will find the familiar search bar. Simply enter a company name to locate a specific workflow or application.

This makes it easy to find an individual customer's application without having to scroll through the entire workflow list.

3

Filter by Workflow Type

We've introduced an additional filter that allows you to narrow down your workflows based on their type. You can now distinguish between:

  • Limit Review: Applications relating to the review of existing customer credit limits.
  • New Customer: Applications relating to new customer onboarding and credit applications.

This allows you to focus on a particular workflow category when monitoring your applications.

4

NEW: Filter by Workflow Steps

This is one of the most useful additions to Workflow Overview. Scroll down the middle panel to find the new STEPS section.

Here, you can see the individual stages configured within your workflow, including different risk assessment stages and approval levels. Each step can be selected to filter the workflow list and display only the applications currently sitting at that particular stage.

ⓘ Tip: The step names listed are the ones configured in your own workflow, so your list may differ from the example shown here.

Practical Example: Approval Level 1

Let's say you are responsible for reviewing applications at Approval Level 1. Instead of searching through all your applications individually, simply:

  1. Navigate to Workflow Overview.
  2. Scroll down to the STEPS section.
  3. Select Approval Level 1.
  4. Trade Shield will filter the workflow list to show applications currently sitting at this approval stage.

You can then work through the applications requiring your attention.

The same principle applies to other workflow stages, allowing you to quickly identify applications at different points in your approval process.

Why Is This Useful?

The enhanced filtering functionality gives you a much clearer picture of your workflow pipeline. You can now:

  • Quickly identify applications waiting at a specific approval level.
  • Monitor applications at different stages of your workflow.
  • Separate new customer applications from existing customer limit reviews.
  • Reduce the time spent manually searching for applications.
  • Focus on the applications that require your attention.

The result? Better workflow visibility, more efficient application management and greater control over your credit approval processes.

ⓘ Try it now: Explore the updated Workflow Overview in Trade Shield and start making use of the new filtering functionality.
